This is a church with a heart for the community!   At First Presbyterian, we care about our city and our neighbors in need.  That's why our church has been instrumental in helping to establish many local ministries that provide assistance to Sandusky County residents in the name of Christ. Those partnerships continue through financial support and the service of volunteers from our congregation.

SHARE AND CARE:
A thrift shop sponsored and staffed by churches in the greater Fremont area.  Proceeds are channeled into emergency assistance for people in need.   SHARE AND CARE

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (USA) GENERAL MISSION SUPPORT:
Mission funds channeled through our local governing body--the Maumee Valley Presbytery--support food pantries, social services, and campus ministries throughout northwest Ohio and southeastern Michigan. Mission support is also given to the Synod of the Covenant and the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Synod of the Covenant Migrant Health Fair: A program that comes to Fremont once a year and provides free health screenings to migrant farm workers and their children

Salvation Army Bell Ringing Campaign: An annual campaign during the Christmas season that raises all the Salvation Army funds to be distributed in Sandusky County during the upcoming year. In the recent past, First Presbyterian has been the largest organizational contributor to this effort.
